STARLUX Airlines, a Taiwan-based luxury carrier, has unveiled its latest U.S. route, connecting Phoenix, Arizona, to Taipei, Taiwan, with nonstop flights starting January 15, 2026.
This milestone marks Phoenix’s first direct link to Asia, opening a vital transpacific corridor for Arizona.
Reservations for the new route are now available, offering travelers a seamless way to cross the Pacific.
Further North American Expansion
The launch follows STARLUX’s recent expansion to Ontario, California, which became its fourth U.S. destination. The decision to connect Phoenix taps into the Arizona capital’s booming tourism and tech-driven economy.
This has been fueled by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) major investment in the region.
The Phoenix-Taipei route will operate on the state-of-the-art Airbus A350, known for its comfort and efficiency.
STARLUX will offer three weekly flights at launch, increasing to four weekly flights by March 2026. This schedule ensures flexibility for both business and leisure travelers.
The airline’s expansion reflects growing demand for travel between Arizona and Asia, driven by Phoenix’s emergence as a tech and innovation hub.
TSMC’s presence has spurred growth in related industries, deepening economic and cultural ties between Taiwan and Arizona.
