Turkish Airlines is set to make history on December 10, 2025, by launching the first regular direct service between Europe and Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s vibrant capital.
This landmark route will connect Istanbul to Phnom Penh, establishing a crucial bridge between continents.
This new service marks a significant milestone, making Turkish Airlines the seventh flag carrier to serve Phnom Penh.
The airline will operate three weekly flights, with a brief stopover in Bangkok, offering convenient travel options for passengers. Flights will depart Istanbul on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while return flights from Phnom Penh will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Boosting Trade Relations
The introduction of this route is poised to significantly boost trade relations between Türkiye and Cambodia. This will contribute positively to Cambodia’s steadily growing economy. Furthermore, it expands the airline’s extensive Far East network to 20 cities and 21 airports, solidifying its presence in this vital region.
For travelers, this means easier access to one of Southeast Asia’s key destinations. Whether for leisure or business, passengers can now enjoy seamless connections to Phnom Penh through Turkish Airlines’ renowned global network.
“At Turkish Airlines, we continuously expand our network in Asia and strengthen our connections with strategic destinations in the region,” stated Prof. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines.
“The launch of Phnom Penh flights marks a significant step forward in this goal. Our flights to Cambodia will create new opportunities for both tourism and business. Additionally, as the only European carrier flying to this destination, we will further solidify our leadership in the region.”
